1) All cars may not exceed the maximum official weight of 5 ounces. The official scales at the race will determine the official weight. Accordingly, you may want to construct the car to allow for minor adjustments to weight.
2) Only official BSA wheels and axles that are provided with the car kit may be used.
3) No "machining" of wheels other than to remove molding imperfections is allowed. Wheels may not be machined to reduce the contact of a standard wheel surface with the racing surface.
4) Wheel base may be lengthened, but wheels may not extend beyond the front or back body of the car.
5) Race Officials' decisions are final.
6) Upon final inspection, cars will be impounded to the "pit" until the end of the race. The owner of a car may request removal from the race at any opportune time. However, once removed from the race, it will not be allowed back into the lineup. At their discretion, the race officials may allow removal for minor repairs due to damage which occurs during the race.
7) A representative must be present for each winning car to receive their award, otherwise the car will be disqualified, and the next winning car in line will be presented the award.
Each car will race three (3) times, once on each lane of the track. Order and mix will be determined by a derby software program. Winning is based on lowest accumulative time for each car.
